Outstanding Child and Advocate Award

 

THE OUTSTANDING
CHILD AND FAMILY
ADVOCATE AWARD  

 

 

PURPOSE OF AWARD:  To recognize exemplary efforts by individuals or a group, in a volunteer or professional capacity, who advocate for children and families of Butler County.

HISTORY OF AWARD:  The Outstanding Child and Family Advocate Award was established in 1995 in conjunction with a collaborative effort called Celebrate Families which plans an annual celebration/recognition event to highlight those individuals, programs, and agencies whose mission is to strengthen families and protect children.

THE AWARD: Five individuals will be chosen to receive the "Helping Hands" pin, custom made in silver by artist, Chris Stousland.  One group will be chosen to receive the Sonia Hall T.E.A.M. achievement award.  The winners' organizations will each receive a $100 monetary contribution.  The awards will be presented at the Celebrate Families Community Breakfast, Friday, April 23, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. at the Receptions Banquet and Conference Center, 5975 Boymel Drive, Fairfield, Ohio.

SELECTION CRITERIA:  Individuals will be evaluated in the following areas:

  •  How long have they demonstrated support of children & families?
  •  How long have they been involved in these efforts?
  •  How do their efforts impact the larger community?
